Dressage holidays in PROVEnCE studfarm

Founded 50 years ago by Catherine Vaisse, this renowned Lusitano and Lusitano crossbreed stud farm is located in Mouriès, Baux-de-Provence. Initially focused on breeding highly rideable Lusitanos, the farm has evolved over the past 15 years under Catherine and her daughter Alicia to include crossbreeding with Grand Prix warmblood stallions like Glamourdale and Jovian, ridden by Charlotte Fry and Patrik Kittel, respectively.

The goal is to produce horses with exceptional gaits and versatility, suitable for world-class dressage competition. The farm's legacy includes notable offspring such as Mistral du Coussoul, who, along with Sultan, has achieved international acclaim under liberty rider Alizée Froment.

The property features two outdoor arenas, an indoor arena, boxes, paddocks, and open pastures, ensuring optimal conditions for training and development.

The 4-day and 7-day programs are available all year round, except January, February, July and August. Please enquire if you don’t see the dates you wish to book.

Arrival and Departure Information:

Weekly Program: Arrival Sunday afternoon/evening in time for dinner. Departure the following Saturday after breakfast.

Weekend Program: Arrival Thursday afternoon/evening in time for dinner. Departure Sunday after breakfast.

Experience luxury at a stunning estate near Arles, in this 18th-century house features 6 elegant bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, a spacious living room with a charming veranda, and a beautifully designed kitchen with an adjoining dining room.

Set in the serene Alpilles Nature Park, the estate is just a half-hour drive from the Mediterranean coast, the iconic Luma Foundation by Frank Gehry, and the natural beauty of the Camargue. It’s also close to the enchanting Lubéron, ancient Roman ruins, and top-notch gourmet restaurants.

Between dressage lessons, explore local markets, historical sites, Roman museums, and the picturesque towns of Les Baux de Provence and Carrières de Lumières. You can also browse antique shops or simply relax by the pool.

Your stay includes a stocked refrigerator with breakfast items, daily fresh bread delivery, and a self-serve breakfast option on the terrace or indoors. Lunch features a cold buffet with wine, water, and coffee. For dinner, enjoy a 3-course meal prepared by a local chef, including fresh bread and a cheese platter, with wine available to complement your meal, either indoors or by the pool.

An honesty bar is available for beverages between meals; simply help yourself and record what you take.

Accommodation: All programs include accommodation in a shared bedroom (based on 2 sharing). Single rooms can be arranged for an extra charge upon request.

Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are provided, with drinks included (soft drinks, beer, and wine).

Lessons: 6 dressage lessons and 2 hacks or 2 liberty work lessons are included in the weekly package.

3 dressage lessons and one hack out or liberty work class are included in the weekend package.

Possibility to exchange a riding lesson for liberty work or a hack outside in the beautiful Alpilles regional park.

Amenities: Access to the pool when open (until mid/late October depending on the weather, and from mid-April)

Access to terraces, gardens, large lounge, and Wi-Fi on the property

Flights: International flights are not included.

Single room: Private rooms are available for an additional €300 for the week-long program or €150 for the weekend program. If there is no one to share a room with, a single supplement will be added.

Additional private lesson: €70 per person
Trail ride/hack out: €50 per person

Insurance: We request you take a travel Insurance covering medical expenses, injuries, baggage and personal items for the entire duration of the trip.

Snacks & Alcoholic drinks are not included (other than wine at meal times). There is an honesty bar set up for your convenience.

Airport Transfer: You can book in advance and pay on the spot.
