The horses at the Djerba stables are Barb, Arab or Arab-Barb mixes. They love contact with humans, and are energetic and forward going, while being soft and attentive to the aids. Most of the horses are stallions, with the exception of one gelding. The stallions are friendly with each other are live together in paddocks. The owner’s unique approach to horse care allows these stallions horses to live socially, resulting in a relaxed and balanced character. All of the horses are kept barefoot. The tack includes english, western, treeless and endurance saddles.

Important: For the well-being of their horses, the stables only accept experienced riders with a weight limit of 80 kg.

The Ranch is located in the quiet countryside of Djerba, near the village of Mezraya and near the 'Flamingo Island', an 8km long peninsula of beautiful beaches by the Mediterranean sea. Built in traditional Djerbian style, the Ranch offers two bungalows, one of which has a double room with a private terrace, and the other has 2 double rooms, also with its own private terrace with views of the horses and paddocks. There is also an additional double room with its ensuite bathroom which can be rented. Each bungalow is equipped with a living room with flatscreen TV with European channels, a kitchen, a bathroom and air conditioning. Free Wifi is also available.

The food consists of traditional Tunisian and Mediterranean dishes. For lunch, there is usually a light meal including a salad or sandwich, and a more elaborated meal for dinner. Different dietary requirements can also be catered for.

Vaccines: There are no required vaccines to travel to Tunisia. However, it is recommended to have all of your vaccines up to date.

Activities: Other activities in the area include kitesurfing and windsurfing- this is available for both beginners and advanced surfers should you wish to give it a try!
